The Museum Africa Trust Foundation was founded in 2010 to seek private sector support for Museum Africa, a museum-library complex created for the preservation of knowledge about ancient African civilizations. With tax caps, diminishing state and federal funds, and the increasing costs of materials and supplies, cutbacks are inevitable if new sources of funding are not developed.

The Foundation was formed to ensure that the works of African scholars and important African artifacts and documents will be preserved not only to meet the present needs of our community, but grow to accept the new challenges that we will face in the coming years. Donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible as provided in Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Goals of our Foundation include:

  • Acquiring the library's collection of African primary source documents and ancient artifacts

  • Helping our library become "state of the art" so that its services can be enjoyed by all

  • Providing additional library and museum services as needed by the community

Towards these goals we solicit donations for immediate needs as well as endowments that will assure the future health of our library-museum system.

This website will acquaint you with our current projects, the different ways that you can help, and the tax benefits that your generosity can produce. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
